OBJECTIVES

Starting from a multidisciplinary approach, the project focuses on the investigation and development of innovative Mg-based resorbable implants characterized by a tailored corrosion behavior and by improved surface characteristics, modified at the micro/nano level by adequate and optimized manufacturing strategies, and by functional coatings able to release bioactive molecules, which provide antibacterial behavior and reduces the risk of prosthesis failure and degradation fast/slow than it is needed.
